Knowledge Generation Projects 2023 Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities includes the hiring of a support technician (in the report, Research Technician 2, RT2) to carry out software prototype implementation tasks, participating at different levels in most of the project work. Specifically, the RT2 technician plays a particularly important role in all tasks within work package WP3: Generating Explanations, which is the project's main focus and encompasses activities T3.1 (explanations in knowledge-based systems), T3.2 (explanations in machine learning), and T3.3 (interfaces for explanations). These activities will form the core work of the support technician during the contract. Furthermore, the RT2 support technician is also expected to participate in other project tasks related to machine learning. Specifically, (s)he will be directly involved in the development of task T2.1 (Evolutionary Computation) within WP2: Inductive Learning and Evolutionary Computation. While more oriented towards fundamental research, this task has a direct continuation in tasks T4.3 (protein structure refinement) and T4.4 (economic bankruptcy prediction) within WP4: Proof of Concept in Demanding Environments, where the support technician will play a significant role in experimentation and software prototype development.
JUSTIFICATION FOR CONTRACT DURATION: Given that it covers virtually the entire project timeline, the contract has a duration from the estimated start date of May 1, 2026, until the project's completion date of August 31, 2028.
