Job description
We're looking for a frontend-first full-stack engineer to build and evolve the employee experience across our platform. The Employee Management team owns the key journeys where users create, manage, and update employee data throughout the employee lifecycle.
This is a full-stack role aligned with team priorities: you'll contribute wherever the work is, across frontend and backend. At the same time, you bring a strong frontend background and will help the team level up on UI quality, frontend architecture, and product experience standards.
What you will do
- Deliver product work end-to-end: discovery, technical design, implementation, rollout, iteration.
- Build high-quality, user-centric interfaces: accessible, performant, consistent.
- Take ownership of frontend architecture and patterns (state management, data fetching, routing, error handling, forms) to improve quality and speed sustainably.
- Collaborate on backend implementation when needed (services, endpoints, integrations) to ship team priorities.
- Improve our design system usage and help scale UI consistency across flows.
- Raise the bar on engineering quality through reviews, pairing, and pragmatic technical leadership.
Backend collaboration & API design
A key part of the role is ensuring the end-to-end experience is high quality. You'll work with the team to design and evolve APIs that are:
- predictable and consistent,
- optimized for product usage (latency, pagination, partial updates),
- resilient (validation, error semantics, backwards compatibility),
- and easy to consume from the frontend.
You won't be the backend owner, but you will be expected to contribute when needed and help drive API choices that directly impact user experience., Employee Management sits at the heart of the platform. The quality of these journeys impacts daily workflows for customers and sets the bar for the rest of the product. This role combines strong ownership of team delivery with a clear mandate to elevate frontend quality and user experience.
