- Infra: Private cloud with Kubernetes, Ceph storage, Helm, NGINX, HAProxy
- Automation & monitoring: Terraform, Ansible, GitOps (Flux), Prometheus, Loki, Grafana
- Security & secrets management: Hashicorp Vault
- Stack: Fully self-managed, across 3 colocations in the Groningen region
- Workflow: High responsibility, short iterations, full technical freedom. We document well, release frequently, and continuously improve
Our team takes full ownership of our infrastructure. We actively replace legacy systems, experiment with new tech, and constantly look for ways to improve.
What you'll do
You lead projects, make technical decisions, and contribute to improving our infrastructure strategy. You collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other teams to deliver platform-wide improvements.
Examples of what you'll work on:
- Designing and implementing robust, scalable infrastructure
- Defining strategy for observability, security, and automation
- Improving incident response processes and leading postmortems
- Executing large-scale migrations (e.g. CI/CD, data centers, platform changes)
- Mapping and managing complex dependencies between teams and systems
- Coaching colleagues, doing technical reviews, and sharing knowledge
Requirements
*You are able to work at the office in Groningen, we have a remote working policy of a maximum of 2 days per week., You have extensive experience in infrastructure engineering and can think both strategically and pragmatically. You're technically strong, communicate clearly, and help others grow., * Deep experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex infrastructure systems
- Experience with large-scale systems (cloud, Kubernetes, multi-data center)
- Strong knowledge of security, monitoring, storage, and networking
- Ability to manage cross-team dependencies and drive large technical changes
- Ownership mindset and a strong presence within the team
- Fluent in English and comfortable collaborating with others
