Data Engineer

This role will focus on building robust data pipelines, reverse engineering existing data structures and processes, and supporting the evolution of the data architecture within the Microsoft ecosystem., * Build and optimise scalable data pipelines

• Reverse engineer existing data models, pipelines, and integrations
• Work with engineering and analytics teams to deliver data solutions
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Improve data quality, reliability, and performance
• Support ongoing cloud data platform evolution

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse (ESSENTIAL)
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong skills in reverse engineering data pipelines, schemas, and legacy processes
• Solid programming skills in PySpark, Python, and SQL
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Data Lake
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimise data workflows

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
• Exposure to modern data architectures (e.g. medallion/lakehouse)
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, * Passion for coding and problem-solving
• Proactive, curious mindset with a desire to learn
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
