Job description
We're looking for an experienced Systems Developer to join our ICT team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of the Council's digital systems. About the Role You will work across the full system development lifecycle, including:

Analysing requirements, designing, developing, testing and documenting systems.

Creating user interfaces, system integrations and prototypes.

Maintaining data integrity and supporting database administration.

Producing technical specifications, test plans and scripts.

Diagnosing and resolving third-tier support incidents.
-
Leading system upgrades and patches within ITIL Change and Release processes.

Supporting continuous improvement and promoting best practice in development.
Requirements
We're seeking a developer with strong technical skills and a proactive mindset. You should have:

A degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent experience.

Extensive practical experience developing and maintaining workflows using Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate

Good background knowledge in setting up, configuring, and administering Azure environments, ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational excellence

Understanding of REST, SOAP and JSON integrations.

Knowledge of ITIL testing, change and release management.

Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
