Job description

The IT Engineer, reporting to the IT & Communications Manager, shall have a comprehensive understanding of a variety of information technology systems including, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows OS, Networking, iOS/Android OS, RMM software, MDM software, amongst others. They will utilise this understanding to assist in the general support across the whole IT and Communications systems of the QTS Group.

Technical Support: Provide first-line and second-line support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with problem resolution.
System Maintenance: Perform assigned system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and security configurations.
Network Administration: Contribute to the maintenance of the company's network and wireless network infrastructure.
Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including user guides, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to contribute to ongoing projects and gain exposure to a variety of IT disciplines.
Cyber Security: Contribute to the ongoing protection of the IT infrastructure from security threats.
Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry trends.
Assist in any other aspect of the Company where required.

Requirements

For the role of IT Engineer you should have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Enthusiastic attitude and a strong desire develop technical skills.
Comprehensive understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Technical certifications are preferred but not required.
