Job description

Are you passionate about exceptional technical solutions and thrive in delivering outstanding customer experiences for our strategic utility partners?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Implementation Engineer to join our Mascot team on a full-time basis, to lead the delivery of complex, end-to-end smart metering and IoT solutions using structured project methodologies. Working closely with deployment teams, customers, and third-party partners, you will guide technical design, configuration, integration, and validation activities to ensure seamless implementation and customer satisfaction. This role plays a key part in planning and prioritising technical tasks to meet project timelines, quality expectations, and budget requirements., Solution Development & Delivery:

  • Act as the technical lead during solution design and implementation.
  • Provide technical direction and ensure smooth integration of hardware, communications, and software.
  • Apply deep industry knowledge to enhance solution performance and customer outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate technical resources, provide mentoring, and ensure quality execution.
  • Conduct system configuration, testing, validation, and acceptance activities.
  • Identify system deficiencies and implement effective solutions promptly.

Project & Quality Management:

  • Plan technical workstreams and maintain schedules to meet strict project timelines.
  • Manage stakeholder and customer communications with clarity and professionalism.
  • Perform quality planning, assurance, and control across all phases of delivery.
  • Prepare key documentation, including design documents, training materials, and technical guides.
  • Develop training plans and coordinate delivery for customers and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience deploying complex enterprise-grade software solutions.
  • Experience in large-scale IoT/M2M implementations.
  • Strong understanding of high availability systems, disaster recovery, and scalable architectures.
  • Background in utilities or energy operations (highly regarded).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide tailored solutions.
  • Exposure to programming, databases, or cloud computing (highly desirable).
  • Experience collaborating across customers, partners, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Strong organisational capability with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive and self-driven problem solver with sound judgment and practical execution.
  • Demonstrates leadership when resolving technical issues and coordinating across stakeholders.
