Job description
- Design, develop and maintain the MES and shopfloor systems within the company's production environment.
- Develop database-driven applications and ensure their successful testing, deployment and operation.
- Analyze and resolve user issues and inquiries related to MES and other production-related software systems.
- Create, update and maintain technical documentation, user manuals and development documentation.
- Continuously analyze existing systems and propose as well as implement improvement and optimization measures.
- Support and maintain additional production-related IT systems beyond the shopfloor environment.
- Perform database tuning and optimization for MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL to ensure performance and stability.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or university studies in IT, computer science or a comparable field, or an equivalent qualification gained through practical experience.
- Experience in developing software for production-related systems, particularly MES or shopfloor applications.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance tuning.
- Practical experience with object-oriented software development and modern programming languages and frameworks such as C#, VB and .NET.
- Basic understanding of network technologies and confident use of standard Office applications.
