A well-performing secondary school in Bristol is seeking a technically skilled and proactive IT Technician to join its support team immediately. This is a vital role supporting both staff and pupils in ensuring that technology across the school operates smoothly and efficiently. The school has invested significantly in digital infrastructure, and this role is central to maintaining and enhancing that provision. The Role Providing first-line and second-line IT support to teaching and support staff Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues Supporting classroom technology including interactive boards and AV systems Managing user accounts, permissions, and system access Assisting with device deployment and maintenance Supporting data protection and cybersecurity compliance Maintaining IT inventory and documentation
Requirements
Previous experience in an IT support or technician role Strong knowledge of Windows systems, networks, and common school platforms Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills A calm and professional communication style Ability to prioritise and manage support requests effectively
