Job description
The Cloud Solution Architect will architect and design cloud and infrastructure systems in line with the overall enterprise cloud and infrastructure architecture and in accordance with the needs of the business. Working Closely with the Enterprise Cloud, Infrastructure & Security Architect to assure the cyber-security needs of the business and to deliver the Architecture Strategy for the University Group.
You will bring insight into emerging technology trends within cloud and infrastructure and use this knowledge to support innovation across the organisation. You will explore new technologies and assess how they can add value for the University Group.
You will be line managed by the Enterprise Technology Architect and collaborate with other solution architects across disciplines to co create effective solutions for the University Group.
Requirements
You will bring substantial experience in cloud solution architecture within large, complex organisations, supported by strong knowledge of cloud and infrastructure technologies. Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience, you will combine strategic thinking with excellent analytical and planning skills.
A confident leader, you can define and communicate a clear cloud architecture vision while motivating and developing others. You take ownership, deliver results and provide a high quality service, using your blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills to build strong relationships across the organisation. You understand business culture, stakeholder needs and customer behaviours, enabling you to influence effectively at all levels.
You will have proven expertise in public cloud infrastructure, cloud and infrastructure solution design, authentication and email systems, client device security, and cyber security within modern architectures. You will also bring a strong awareness of emerging technologies and the ability to lead teams in resolving complex IT challenges quickly and effectively.
Benefits & conditions
Competitive starting salary range from £48,214 up to £56,230 (dependent on experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.
