Applications Engineer

• Undertaking site surveys, engaging with sub-contractors, writing tenders & producing costings
• Engage with customers, engineering teams & internal sales teams to provide high levels of technical support
• Acting as key interface between sales & engineering teams to provide a high standard of technical support to the sales team
• Preparation of quotations & proposals, including estimation of resources & equipment preparation of system technologies
• Preparation of system technologies & technical material to support proposals
• Providing high quality technical support to the sales team

• Preferably qualified to degree level in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Mechatronic Engineering
• Hold previous experience in a similar role including experience & strong knowledge of AC, DC & Servo VSD's, PLC software, SCADA, HMIs, MES / MIS
• Strong, demonstrable technical experience in the field of automation solutions - ideally Drives, Controls, PLC or Networking; used within heavy industrial environments I.e. Steel, Paper, Marine
• Practical experience of deploying drive technologies across various industrial sectors would be advantageous
• Ability to develop high quality, technical proposals
• Expert automation drives knowledge
• Hold a valid UK driving license & passport

This role is commutable from Manchester, Warrington, Stafford, Telford or Chester. Would also suit Control Engineer, Proposals Engineer or a Technical Sales Engineer who enjoys client contact and concepting.
