Job description
- Undertaking site surveys, engaging with sub-contractors, writing tenders & producing costings
- Engage with customers, engineering teams & internal sales teams to provide high levels of technical support
- Acting as key interface between sales & engineering teams to provide a high standard of technical support to the sales team
- Preparation of quotations & proposals, including estimation of resources & equipment preparation of system technologies
- Preparation of system technologies & technical material to support proposals
- Providing high quality technical support to the sales team
Requirements
- Preferably qualified to degree level in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Mechatronic Engineering
- Hold previous experience in a similar role including experience & strong knowledge of AC, DC & Servo VSD's, PLC software, SCADA, HMIs, MES / MIS
- Strong, demonstrable technical experience in the field of automation solutions - ideally Drives, Controls, PLC or Networking; used within heavy industrial environments I.e. Steel, Paper, Marine
- Practical experience of deploying drive technologies across various industrial sectors would be advantageous
- Ability to develop high quality, technical proposals
- Expert automation drives knowledge
- Hold a valid UK driving license & passport
This role is commutable from Manchester, Warrington, Stafford, Telford or Chester. Would also suit Control Engineer, Proposals Engineer or a Technical Sales Engineer who enjoys client contact and concepting.
