Job description
As a security sales engineer, your primary responsibility will be to support the sales team by identifying and generating qualified leads for service and maintenance contracts. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career, eager to learn and grow in the security systems industry. You'll be expected to research potential commercial clients, make outbound calls and emails, qualify prospects, and arrange appointments for the senior sales team.

Duties

Proactively source and identify new commercial leads within target sectors and regions

Make outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to potential clients

Qualify leads through structured questioning and gather relevant contract information

Maintain accurate records of lead generation activity using the company CRM

Schedule meetings or call-backs for the senior sales team or business development manager

Collaborate with the marketing team on targeted campaigns

Track and report weekly/monthly lead generation metrics

Stay up-to-date on company services and industry trends to effectively pitch our offerings

Attend occasional client visits or trade events when required
Requirements

Good organisational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team

Experience using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) is a plus

An interest in fire and security systems or the wider building services sector

Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
