Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Virtualization & Compute Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise compute environments. This role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions across multiple data centers using VMware and Hyper-V technologies., * Lead the design and architecture of on-premise compute infrastructure using Cisco UCS, VMware, Hyper-V, and SCVMM
- Develop scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions aligned with business and technical requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure services
- Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and documentation
- Drive automation initiatives using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of compute platforms
- Contribute to technology roadmap planning and evaluate emerging technologies
️ VMware (Advanced L3 Responsibilities)
- Design and optimize VMware environments (vSphere, vSAN, NSX)
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting (ESXi, vCenter, VM performance issues)
- Implement resource optimization strategies (DRS, affinity rules, resource pools)
- Automate VM lifecycle using PowerCLI or Python
- Manage security hardening and RBAC policies
- Execute upgrades, patching, and maintenance with minimal downtime
- Design and test disaster recovery solutions (VMware SRM)
- Support hybrid cloud integrations (AWS, Azure VMware Solution)
️ Hyper-V & SCVMM (Advanced Responsibilities)
- Design and manage large-scale Hyper-V environments
- Troubleshoot complex issues (clustering, live migration, provisioning)
- Automate operations using PowerShell & orchestration tools
- Manage templates, logical networks, and service templates
- Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and patch management
- Support backup and disaster recovery strategies
Requirements
- VMware (vSphere, vSAN, NSX)
- Microsoft Hyper-V & SCVMM
- Infrastructure as Code: PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible
- Cloud Knowledge: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS (Private & Hybrid Cloud)
- Strong experience with automation and orchestration
Agile / SAFe Environment
- Participate in PI Planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and stand-ups
- Work within Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams, * 6-8 years of experience in virtualization and infrastructure engineering
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
