Job description
- Assisting Technical Manager in the implementation of the engineering and design strategy.
- Identify and manage key interfaces between engineering including the different work packages ensuring those are captured in technical requirements and more broader contract documentation.
- Define the scope boundaries between different contract packages and contractors to ensure no scope gaps or overlaps exist.
- Develop and implement the Interface Management plan including required registers and tools to track, monitor, and resolve technical issues between teams.
- Proactively identify, manage, and report on interface-related risks.
- Coordinate meetings between suppliers, engineering teams, and installation contractors to align technical data exchange.
- Ensuring key project parameters are consistent across packages.
- Coordinate with project team to stick to actual planning and budget.
- Liaise with the appropriate shareholders, identify existing tools and processes and adapt where required.
- Providing regular progress reports to the Technical Manager and input to project's reporting standards on KPI's, lessons learned, etc.
Requirements
- This role would suit a degree qualified Engineer with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
- Working experience and knowledge of offshore wind developments. Knowledge of the offshore wind industry is essential.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate both external and internal stakeholders,
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between, contractors, team members and other stakeholders
- Ability to work as a member of a large, multi-disciplinary and international team
