Senior Solutions Architect

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solution Architect (Microsoft) to join a leading Energy Business undergoing significant digital transformation. Reporting to the Architecture Manager and based in London, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions.

This position is central to advancing the organisation's cloud-first strategy, enhancing its Azure, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform estate, and driving the transition towards modern, scalable, and innovative architectures.

You will be instrumental in defining both current and future state architectures, enabling business transformation, improving customer experience, and supporting long-term digitalisation goals., * Lead the design, governance, and assurance of solutions across Azure, M365, and Power Platform

• Define and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable frameworks
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, aligning technology solutions with strategic objectives
• Drive standardisation and minimise unnecessary customisation across platforms
• Lead architectural decision-making and resolve complex design challenges
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and partners to deliver robust, scalable solutions
• Develop and communicate technology roadmaps enabling incremental value delivery
• Conduct architecture assessments and recommend improvements across the technology landscape
• Ensure compliance with architecture principles and cyber security standards
• Support wider IT initiatives including integration, data migration, and legacy system retirement
• Mentor and support junior architects and technical team members

You are an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Microsoft technologies and enterprise environments. You bring both strategic vision and hands-on expertise, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels., * Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect in complex IT environments

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and Power Platform
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, systems integration, APIs, and data platforms
• Knowledge of cyber security, identity and access management, and networking
• Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including at executive level
• Experience working in Agile environments

A background within the energy or utilities sector is advantageous but not essential.
