Requirements

We are looking for an engineer who is driven, curious, collaborative and passionate about being on the cutting edge of new graphics and display technology. As a Display Driver engineer, you will have responsibilities spanning all aspects of display driver and related components like a window compositor and low level graphics libraries. These will include defining SW architecture for the new features, driving them through the development and debug phases up to the release and maintenance as part of the macOS. The successful candidate will be problem solver with attention to quality and ability to both work in the team as well as work independently on complex SW development or debugging efforts., * Strong programming skills and knowledge of C or C++

  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills, * Experience with low level application, firmware or driver development
  • Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience in modern graphics or display technology is a plus

Our responsibilities encompass the frameworks, developer tools, and hardware drivers for the GPU and Display devices for all of Apple's hardware.The Mac Display Driver team develops the display driver for all Mac products, enabling state of the art front of the screen and UI experience like for example Liquid Glass UI technology in macOS Tahoe or support for the Liquid Retina XDR display in the current MacBook Pro models.
