Job description
As a Senior Data Automation Engineer, you'll design, implement, and sustain manufacturing data automation solutions, contributing to our digital strategy. You'll set technical direction for data integration standards, collaborate with Automation, IT, and business teams, and deliver high-quality datasets for operations and analytics.
You'll manage the site historian and contextualization layer (OSI PI / PI AF), improve the Leiden Information Model, and define data management standards and roadmaps. You should be a strong communicator, skilled in collaboration and change management, with a keen interest in new technologies and digitalization challenges.
Responsibilities & Impact:
- Partner with Automation, Operations, IT, and digital groups to align on data automation designs.
- Build and manage automated data pipelines from manufacturing systems to the site data platform.
- Define data contextualization and standardization aligned with ISA-95 and site/global standards.
- Evolve the OT contextualization model and adoption patterns.
- Ensure data quality and reliability; lead troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Support GxP-compliant delivery, documentation, risk assessments, and audits.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Sales?, Do you have a Master's degree?, You hold a technical Master's degree or equivalent experience. You're passionate about new technologies, and can work independently across the solution lifecycle, influencing stakeholders in a regulated environment.
- Experience in biotechnological/pharma GxP environments; knowledge of GAMP required.
- Experience delivering technical solutions in manufacturing.
- Strategic thinking, change management, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Understanding of the data lifecycle and translating use cases into scalable datasets.
- Familiarity with data management, process excellence tools (Lean, Six Sigma), and manufacturing process analytics.
- Experience with OSI PI / AVEVA PI, PI AF, and historian data governance.
- Programming skills.
- Experience working in global, remote teams and digital projects.

The expected gross base salary for this role is between 53.500 EUR - 84 445 EUR, and includes 8% holiday allowance
