Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist working on commercial and pricing, you'll play a key role in shaping how we use AI, machine learning and advanced analytics to solve real business challenges and improve decision-making across the group. What you'll be doing:

• Designing, developing and deploying machine learning and AI solutions across the full model lifecycle
• Extracting, transforming and analysing data to generate reliable, actionable insights
• Collaborating with colleagues to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
• Applying best-practice coding, testing and MLOps techniques to ensure scalable, robust delivery
• Staying current with emerging technologies, including Generative AI and Agentic AI
• Ensuring responsible use of data and AI by following governance and compliance standards
• Communicating findings clearly through dashboards, visualisations and presentations
• Contributing to initiatives that improve customer experience and outcomes

• Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or Advanced Analytics (typically 3+ years)
• Strong programming skills in Python or R
• Solid understanding of statistical modelling, probability and computational algorithms
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational or graph databases
• Knowledge of ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across teams to deliver measurable value
