Job description
We are seeking a strategic and delivery-focused Digital Product Owner to lead the development and continuous improvement of our CPD platform.
In this role, you will own the product roadmap and act as the bridge between business, technical teams, and users. You will translate business needs, user feedback, and regulatory requirements into clear product features and priorities, ensuring timely delivery of scalable, user-friendly, and compliant digital solutions.
This is a non-coding role, but requires strong technical understanding to effectively collaborate with developers and guide product decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and manage the CPD platform product roadmap
- Define product vision, priorities, and feature development plans
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and technical briefs
- Work closely with developers to deliver high-quality product features
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile delivery processes
- Prioritise features based on user value, business impact, and technical feasibility
- Oversee integrations such as SSO, APIs, and third-party platforms
- Ensure product scalability, performance, and usability
- Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, marketing, and commercial teams
- Monitor product performance, user engagement, and feedback
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the platform
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., HCPC, NMC, GMC)
- Support delivery of accessible, WCAG-compliant digital solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role
- Strong experience managing product roadmaps and feature lifecycles
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Good understanding of software development processes and technical concepts
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, or digital platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands
- Experience using product tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Monday.com, Slack, or similar)
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working in SaaS or subscription-based platforms
- Experience in healthcare, education, or regulated sectors
- Familiarity with UK regulatory bodies (HCPC, NMC, GMC)
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centred design
- Experience with data analytics, dashboards, or reporting tools
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience managing integrations such as SSO or third-party systems
- Exposure to AI-driven product features or automation tools
