Solutions Architect

I'm supporting a major client in Brighton & Hove who are kicking off a large data modernisation programme and are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong hands-on capability across AWS, Snowflake, and modern data engineering tooling.

This role suits someone who enjoys shaping end-to-end data solutions, working closely with delivery teams, and presenting into governance forums. What You'll Be Working On

• Designing scalable data integration solutions across the AWS ecosystem (S3, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, Step Functions, etc.)
• Leading architecture across a modern Snowflake data platform
• Applying dbt Core for modular, version-controlled data transformation
• Designing and implementing CDC pipelines (eg, Qlik Replicate)
• Building AWS-hosted APIs and supporting secure cloud-to-on-prem connectivity
• Working with cloud and Mainframe database technologies
• Presenting architecture decisions and designs into governance boards
• Collaborating within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery team

• Deep hands-on experience across AWS data services
• Strong Snowflake expertise
• Real-world experience with dbt Core
• Strong understanding of CDC tooling (preferably Qlik Replicate)
• Proven experience designing cloud-based APIs
• Knowledge of hybrid networking routes between AWS and on-prem
• Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills, Please Note: This is a contract role for UK residents only. This role does not offer Sponsorship.
