Job description

Support our existing software development team (located in Lier, Belgium).

You will become part of a team that implements technical software for machine control, interface to the machine control hardware, print-engine control and interfaces to image-data stream and press operators.

In- and with this team you will design, integrate, implement and test complex software, ensure, that technical solutions, procedures and models for development are up-to-date and comply with standards.

Important result areas:

  • Analyze technology and technical requirements.
  • Work together with the other disciplines to understand and align with the mechanical, electrical, chemical and physics context.in translating the functional requirements into a technical design and implementation.
  • Specify and implement complex software solutions.
  • Contribute to the development & integration of components.

Requirements

  • You hold a master in Engineering or Computer Sciences, or equivalent through experience.

  • 5+ year experience in Software development is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Dutch.

  • You have good communication skills and are proficient in both written and oral English.

  • Good knowledge of OO development, C#, preferably working with MS Visual Studio.

  • Experience with and/or knowledge of (some of these) is a plus :

  • real-time machine control and/or PLC

  • C++

  • C# UI development

  • You are proficient with Windows, ( Linux is a plus )

  • You are strong team player, driven to cooperate

and capable of working in a structured manner with an eye for quality and safety.

  • You can work autonomously in the context of the application platform and design rules.
  • You are a solution- and results-oriented individual with a good quality -and- customer orientation.
  • Ability to understand and absorb domain knowledge quickly.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of real-time machine control and/or PLC is a plus.
  • You know practices and tools for continuous integration. (e.g. git, Jira, Jenkins, etc..)
