Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineers to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our customer's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network security protocols, technologies, and best practices, along with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to critical projects that safeguard our customer's network against emerging threats
What You Will Focus on
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of network security solutions to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and other security platforms to enhance network security posture
- Analyse network traffic for suspicious, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security policies, standards, and procedures are followed throughout the organization.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network security.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party security solutions and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with a proven record of progressively responsible roles.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of network security protocols, encryption algorithms, and authentication mechanisms.
- Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
- Proficiency in intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and packet analysis for identifying and mitigating security incidents.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles and experience securing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) and their impact on network security practices.
