Job description
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you are responsible for the daily operational security activities within GDL. You monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and threats across a diverse portfolio of security tools, including EASM, bug bounty platforms, and SIEM solutions. You work hands-on with technical controls to ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and continuously strengthen the security posture of our IT environments.
You operate within the local lotteries at GDL while also contributing to the virtual, cross-lottery Cyber Security team within PLG. You collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating security policies into practical and effective implementations. You are an integral part of incident response teams and play a key role in both proactive and reactive security operations.

What you'll do:
- Handle daily operational security tasks across GDL's environments.
- Monitor, triage, and analyze threats and incidents from EASM, Bug Bounty, and SIEM tools.
- Implement and maintain technical controls to support ISO 27001 compliance.
- Strengthen the overall security posture through continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with local lottery teams and the cross-lottery Cyber Security group within PLG.
Requirements
- You are analytical, proactive, and communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical colleagues.
- Have hands-on operational cyber security and incident response experience at a medior level.
- You work independently and take ownership of security tasks.
- Translate security policies into practical technical implementations and support a mature, structured security environment.
- Dutch proficiency and experience guiding teammates (without being their line manager) are strong pluses.
