Job description
The Senior Application Support Officer is responsible for day to day supervision and management of an identified area of the Application Support Team. The team are responsible for managing the day to day running of the city councils IT applications, this includes a help desk function; system upgrades; access, event and request fulfilment processes. You will be responsible for a team of up to 10 officers who carry out monitoring, advice, and upkeep of IT systems/processes and liaison with stakeholders/suppliers. You will oversee team development of systems and processes to ensure effective running of IT systems and recording of data. You will be the technical lead on NEC upgrades so experience in this area is essential., * To lead and manage a team of up to 10 staff members
- Manage the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Application Support policies
- Manage the implementation of IT service improvement
- Provide and monitor an effective Application Support Function
- Lead co-ordination of system upgrades
- Analyse performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Lead and support the measurement and bench marking of an Application Support Function
Requirements
- Competent SQL skills
- Must have extensive NEC Housing experience in relation to IT Application Support
- Knowledge of either Allocations or Repairs within Housing and how it applies to IT Application Support
