Job description
This is a senior leadership role for someone who enjoys working close to the detail while setting clear technical direction. You will play a pivotal role in helping the organisation maximise the value of its data, supporting significant transformation initiatives such as the migration from a legacy data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric, alongside the development of customer, CRM, and CDP data capabilities.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across technology, operations, and the wider business to deliver trusted, timely insights that drive commercial and operational performance
What you'll be responsible for
Strategy & Delivery
Own and deliver a clear, practical BI and Data strategy aligned to business objectives and long-term growth ambitions Translate business priorities into a focused, achievable data roadmap Lead the end-to-end delivery of BI and Data initiatives, from shaping requirements through to production Data Platform & Architecture
Own and evolve the enterprise data platform, including pipelines, models, integrations, and the transition to Microsoft Fabric Set and uphold high standards for data architecture, modelling, and engineering Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, well-governed, and fit for future growth Reporting, MI & Analytics
Deliver reliable, consistent MI, reporting, and dashboards for operational and strategic decision-making Establish and maintain a trusted single version of the truth, with clear definitions and metric governance Enable self-service analytics, supported by strong governance and user education Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead, develop, and mentor a small but high-impact BI and Data team Set clear direction, priorities, and technical standards Act as the senior authority on BI and Data, partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making Communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Data Quality & Governance
Establish strong data standards, quality controls, and transparency across the data estate Ensure confidence in the accuracy, completeness, and trustworthiness of data used for decision-making
Requirements
Proven senior-level leadership experience in BI, Data, or Analytics Strong technical background with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset Exceptional stakeholder management skills at senior level Highly collaborative and cross-functional approach Clear, confident communicator able to simplify complex topics Strong analytical thinking and intellectual curiosity Commercially minded, with a focus on real business value Desirable
Experience with Microsoft Fabric Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and data engineering practices Familiarity with Agile delivery in a data environment Experience supporting commercial, operational, or customer analytics Exposure to advanced analytics or modern data products beyond traditional reporting
