Job description

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of on-premises compute infrastructure using Cisco UCS, VMware, Hyper-V, and SCVMM.

Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across multiple data centers.

Design and review advanced VMware architectures including vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments.

Troubleshoot complex L3 issues involving ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VM performance.

Manage and optimize Hyper-V environments using SCVMM, including clustering and live migration.

Drive automation initiatives using tools like PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, and Bash.

Implement disaster recovery strategies (e.g., VMware SRM) and ensure business continuity.

Collaborate with Agile teams and participate in SAFe ceremonies such as PI planning and sprint reviews.

Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.

Contribute to infrastructure roadmap planning and evaluate emerging technologies.
Requirements

6-8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and virtualization.

Strong expertise in VMware (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) and Hyper-V with SCVMM.

Experience with private cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

Deep knowledge of compute infrastructure, storage, networking, and virtualization layers.

Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation frameworks.

Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.

Experience integrating virtualization platforms with backup, monitoring, and storage solutions.

Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution).
You Should Possess the Ability to:

Design highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across complex virtualized environments.

Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of VMs.

Optimize workloads using DRS, affinity rules, and resource pools.

Plan and execute upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal downtime.
