Job description

The Collibra Developer will play a key role in advancing the organization's data governance and management capabilities by further maturing the technical and functional configuration of the Collibra platform. This position is responsible for exploring and implementing new and evolving features within Collibra to ensure the platform remains effective and future-ready for the business.

A significant focus of the role is leveraging Collibra features to enhance usability, increase automation, and improve integration across systems. The Collibra Developer will closely collaborate with data governance, architecture, and engineering teams, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned in maximizing the value derived from the organization's data assets.

Your role encompasses driving innovation, providing direction, and ensuring successful product delivery, with the objective of fulfilling all relevant organizational requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into practical solutions by implementing them within the Collibra platform, ensuring the system meets organizational needs and supports ongoing business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust code management practices, which include utilizing version control systems, following structured deployment processes, and adhering to industry best practices to ensure the stability and reliability of platform enhancements.
  • Design, create, and maintain essential components such as workflows, the operating model, assessments, roles, and policies within Collibra to support data governance objectives.
  • Develop and manage integrations with various enterprise applications, expanding the reach and interoperability of the Collibra platform within the organization's technology landscape.
  • Automate metadata onboarding and manage integrations by leveraging the Collibra API, streamlining data processes, and enhancing efficiency across the data ecosystem.
  • Advise business stakeholders on the optimal use of Collibra, ensuring users are well-informed and able to fully leverage the platform's capabilities for their respective needs
  • Administer and maintain the Collibra platform, managing tasks such as upgrades, configuration adjustments, scalability initiatives, and performance optimization to ensure the platform remains reliable and efficient.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with Collibra or similar data management tools is required, showcasing strong expertise in data governance platforms.
  • Candidates must be proficient in developing and enhancing workflows using BPMN 2.0 and Groovy, with hands-on experience in process automation and optimization.
  • Experience working with APIs for custom integrations and automation is essential, enabling seamless connectivity between Collibra and other systems.
  • Applicants should be able to translate business requirements into scalable Collibra configurations, ensuring solutions meet organizational needs efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Collibra with ETL tools and databases is required, supporting robust data flows and management processes.
  • A proven track record in designing and customizing the Collibra operating model to meet complex business needs is important for this role.
  • An understanding of data governance principles, including data ownership, metadata management, business glossaries, and data lineage, is desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills are essential, contributing to a positive team dynamic and effective collaboration.
  • Applicants should have proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to address challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Residing in The Netherlands with a valid working permit is mandatory.
