Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Forecast Analyst to join Glovo's central Forecasting team, focused on Spain. This role is crucial in ensuring the right number of riders are available at the right time and place, optimizing efficiency across cities and third-party logistics partners.
You will play a key role in executing and improving rider demand forecasts, translating data into actionable operational insights, and helping the business make informed decisions that maximize service quality while optimizing resource allocation.
THE JOURNEY
- Forecast Execution & Monitoring
- Own rider demand forecasts at city-hour-3PL level, tracking accuracy (MAPE) and bias (BIAS) to continuously improve performance.
- Incorporate external drivers such as special events, football matches, and weather into forecasts.
- Data, Tools & Process Improvement
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to visualize key metrics and trends.
- Simplify and automate forecasting processes, collaborating with tech teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Operational Insights & Recommendations
- Translate forecasts into actionable recommendations for rider allocation, operational planning, and efficiency optimization.
- Collaborate with Spanish operations and other stakeholders to validate forecasts and identify proactive adjustments.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the logistics, e-commerce, or gig economy sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately and extract actionable insights.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
- Python or R for data analysis
- Experience with forecasting models, logistics, or operational planning.
- Spanish language skills (useful for local collaboration).
