Job description
You will be responsible for designing and advising on the physical network and connectivity architecture for new data centre builds and expansion projects. The focus is on end-to-end passive infrastructure design including structured cabling systems, fibre and copper pathways, patching environments, and rack-level layout planning.

A rare opportunity for a Data Centre Architect with a proven track record to take ownership of physical infrastructure design within a major new data centre build. You'll shape the foundation of connectivity across full DC halls, working with structured cabling, fibre and copper systems, and high-density rack layouts. This is a design-focused role where your expertise directly influences scalability, resilience, and performance of next-generation data centre environments. Ideal for someone who thrives in technical design authority roles, without needing to be hands-on in the field every day., * Experience designing new data centers or DC halls/rooms
- Strong knowledge of physical network & connectivity architecture
- Deep understanding of passive infrastructure (cables, connectors, patch panels, ODFs)
- Knowledge of cable trays, containment, and routing within DC environments
- Ability to create and interpret technical designs, floorplans, and rack elevations
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards (fiber & copper)
- Strong plus: hands-on experience with cabling work inside DC halls
- Plus: high-level knowledge of DC power and cooling setup, * Strong experience designing data centres or large-scale DC halls/rooms
- Deep understanding of physical network infrastructure (structured cabling, fibre & copper systems)
- Proven ability to design and interpret rack layouts, containment systems, and cable routing plans
- Familiar with passive infrastructure components such as patch panels, ODFs, trays, and connectivity architecture
- Ability to operate as a design authority and translate requirements into structured technical solutions
- High-level understanding of power and cooling systems (advantageous)
- Strong communicator able to guide technical stakeholders without direct installation responsibility
