Job description
We're looking for a Front-End Shopify Developer to help us build fast, accessible, and beautiful e-commerce experiences. You'll be responsible for developing and optimising our Shopify storefronts, working closely with our digital designer to deliver high-quality features that perform brilliantly for all users., * Build, maintain, and improve our Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript
- Develop new features and UI components with a strong focus on accessibility (WCAG 2.1+)
- Optimise front-end performance, improving Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP
- Ensure the storefront works seamlessly across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with designers to faithfully implement designs while suggesting improvements
- Work with marketing and e-commerce teams to support launches, campaigns, and experiments
- Integrate and customise Shopify apps and third-party service
- Contribute to front-end best practices, documentation, and code reviews
Requirements
- Passion for modern CSS and JavaScript API's over complex frameworks
- Strong front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Demonstrable experience implementing accessible interfaces
- Semantic HTML, ARIA where appropriate, keyboard navigation, screen reader support
- Strong understanding of front-end performance optimisation
- Lazy/Eager loading, asset optimisation, JS/CSS best practices, Core Web Vitals
- Experience developing themes or templates using Liquid or similar templating languages
- Experience working with GIT and build tools
- Ability to balance technical quality with commercial priorities
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Shopify 2.0 and Online Store 2.0 architectur
- Familiarity with managing CSS and modern CSS methodologies
- Experience with analytics, A/B testing, or CRO tools
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce
- Experience in a fast-growing or DTC environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities.
