As a Frontend Software Engineer embedded within a multifunctional team, you will collaborate with Product and Design counterparts in ideating, building and supporting the UI for Checkout.com products and services, ensuring our merchants enjoy an optimal experience across all our frontend touchpoints.
We seek engineers who are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new challenges across the full stack as we push technology forward. With your technical expertise, you will help define project priorities, manage deadlines, and ensure high-quality deliverables. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.
Requirements
- Proficient in React and TypeScript: Able to implement and maintain features with limited guidance, following best practices.
- Modern software development practices, designing and architecting with security in mind
- Good practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
- Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design
- Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows
- Great communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong customer focus with care for accessibility and User Experience
- Experience building reliable, accessible and well-tested systems.
Desirable:
- Some experience with C# is nice to have
- Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and performance issues in web applications and knowing how to debug them
- Experience with asynchronous, event-driven architecture
- Database experience with NoSQL, ElasticSearch or similar tool
