The Role You'll join our Data Engineering team , responsible for building and evolving the data platform that powers insight across Aviva Zero. Our data consumers are not looking for basic dashboards - they're analysts, actuaries and data scientists using high-quality data to make decisions that directly impact our customers and our business. You'll work alongside application and data engineering teams to help ingest data from our modern

Requirements

AWS platform into Snowflake, learning how raw data is transformed using dbt into trusted datasets used by analysts, actuaries and data scientists. You'll be involved throughout the delivery lifecycle, from early discovery through to production, developing your SQL and Python skills and gaining hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, AWS CDK and GitHub Actions. With support from the team, you'll contribute to good engineering practices such as testing, monitoring and observability using tools like CloudWatch, helping ensure our data platform is reliable, scalable and delivers real value to the business. This is an ideal role for someone earlier in their data career , with strong foundations and big ambitions to grow in a modern, cloud-first environment. What We're Looking For Strong SQL skills, including working confidently with complex data models Experience deploying and monitoring workloads on a cloud platform (ideally AWS) Experience with, or exposure to, a cloud data
