Job description
You'll be joining a fast-growing AI company where the focus is on solving real-world problems, not maintaining legacy systems. The work is hands-on, client-facing and centred around building bespoke AI solutions from the ground up. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and problem-solving - working directly with clients to understand their challenges and designing AI-driven solutions that deliver real impact. The Role
- Work directly with clients to understand their environment, challenges and goals
- Identify opportunities where AI and LLMs can deliver meaningful impact
- Design and architect bespoke AI solutions tailored to each use case
- Build, test and iterate solutions using modern AI development workflows
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to turn ideas into production systems
- Rapidly prototype and refine solutions based on real user feedback
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background (Python ideally)
- Experience building production-grade applications or platforms
- Proven experience working with LLMs / Generative AI (APIs, prompt engineering, tooling)
- Comfortable working with APIs, data and cloud environments
- Experience in a client-facing or consultative role
- Ability to take loosely defined problems and turn them into working solutions
- Someone who enjoys variety, ambiguity and solving new problems
Nice to Have
- Experience with agent-based frameworks or multi-agent systems
- RAG, vector databases or knowledge graph implementations
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerisation
- Data pipelines, ETL or document processing
- Experience working in regulated environments
Why It's Worth a Look
- High ownership - you're designing solutions, not just delivering tickets
- Client-facing role with real influence on outcomes
- Modern AI stack with a strong focus on LLMs
- Variety of work across different industries and problem spaces
- Fast-paced environment with a bias for action
- Flexible hybrid working in Belfast
If you're an engineer who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to build AI solutions that actually get used, this is well worth a conversation.

Who are we?
Muse Group began life as Ultimate Guitar, the largest online global community of musicians. Eugeny Naidenov founded Ultimate Guitar in 1998, with a dream to make it easy for guitarists to play songs by Guns ‘N’ Roses and his other favorite rockers. From there, the site grew from a plucky, tab-sharing trailblazer into a global leader of online music publishing.
In 2017, Ultimate Guitar acquired MuseScore, expanding its reach into sheet music. Muse Group has only continued to grow from there — and now includes Audacity, StaffPad and many more.
In 2023, Muse Group acquired Hal Leonard, the legendary global sheet music publishers, adding an unparalleled music catalog and educational expertise to the team.
Today, we are an international, visionary team of creatives, music lovers and audio obsessives, developing products we could not live without.
