Job description
We're hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a globally leading FinTech company, as part of an exciting growth period. They're looking for someone to design and optimise data pipelines that power market abuse surveillance across trading and communications platforms. This role focuses on ensuring data reliability, completeness, scalability, and regulatory compliance across structured and unstructured data sources. You'll work across engineering and operations to support critical surveillance systems and data lake initiatives in a regulated financial environment., * Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Implement automated data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
- Develop AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CDK
- Monitor and resolve data anomalies across trade and communications datasets
- Enforce data governance, lineage, retention, and auditability standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements
- Contribute to surveillance data lake and analytics initiatives
Requirements
- Strong experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Python or Java, strong SQL skills
- Experience with AWS and modern data tooling (e.g., Airflow, Spark, dbt)
- CI/CD experience and Agile delivery background
- Data Engineering or Data Ops experience
