MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with an ambitious, product-led organisation building a brand new AI Centre of Excellence in Belfast. This is an opportunity to work on production-grade GenAI solutions that are actively deployed and delivering value. If you're a Python engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and shipping scalable AI systems, this role offers genuine ownership and technical depth. The Role You'll be responsible for designing and delivering AI-powered features and systems, including: Building and deploying LLM-powered applications (RAG, agents, automation workflows) Developing robust backend services in Python Working with vector databases, APIs, and cloud-native infrastructure Contributing to architecture decisions and production best practice Collaborating with product and engineering teams to move from prototype to scalable deployment
Requirements
Strong Python software engineering background Understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) Experience taking products from concept to production Comfortable working in fast-paced, Agile environments Bonus if you've worked with: LangChain, vector databases, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or enterprise-scale deployments.
