Job description

  • True Autonomy: This role is defined by agency. You'll deliver projects independently and consult directly with public sector partners., This isn't a "standard" corporate role. You'll be working in a high-autonomy environment where ethics and security are at the heart of every line of code.
  • Security Mastery: Deep security/DevSecOps experience, specifically implementing and monitoring systems for data breaches and observability.
  • AI & Ethics: We need someone comfortable with AI who doesn't just chase the hype but understands the real possibilities. We're looking for a candidate with a grounded opinion on integrating AI into workflows, whether you've explored this through personal projects, studies, or at work.
  • Autonomy & Technical Leadership: comfortable delivering projects independently, troubleshooting, and reviewing/coaching others.

Requirements

  • The Core: Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) background. They primarily use Python/Django, but are happy to cross-train experts from Java, Ruby, or TypeScript backgrounds.
  • The Cloud: Deep proficiency in Azure Infrastructure is essential.
  • The Workflow: You should be comfortable with high context-switching and have the ability to manage multiple projects with varying lengths and constraints., You're a Senior or Principal Engineer who thrives in a mission-driven setting. You're comfortable shifting between high-level architecture and hands-on troubleshooting, and you want your work to leave a lasting positive mark on society.
