SAP Manager

We are seeking an experienced SAP Manager to lead and manage SAP business systems within the IT Services team.

This role involves overseeing system support, development, and service delivery, ensuring high performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across SAP platforms., * Lead and manage the SAP business systems team

• Oversee support, maintenance, configuration, and development of SAP systems
• Ensure delivery of agreed service levels and continuous service improvement
• Apply ITIL processes and utilise IT service management tools
• Identify system issues and implement solutions and preventative measures
• Provide expert advice on SAP technologies and system enhancements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and end users
• Supervise external technical consultants where required
• Ensure compliance with data protection, governance, and security policies
• Manage access to sensitive and confidential information
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting
• Deputise for the Architect and Systems Service Manager when required

Must-Have Requirements:

• Extensive experience working at a senior level in an ICT environment
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing staff, projects, or functions
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• In-depth knowledge of SAP technologies (support, implementation, development)
• Strong understanding of ITIL framework and service management processes
• Experience using IT service management tools
• Ability to make complex decisions and prioritise workloads
• Strong communication skills at management level
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex system issues
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive data
• Degree in a relevant discipline or professional management qualification
• Experience within a local authority or public sector
