You'll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK's number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. - Produce design packages, reports and other deliverables to achieve project outcomes;
- Organise and undertake site visits and surveys
- Deliver successful projects to agreed time and cost expectations whilst ensuring work is undertaken in compliance with internal quality standards and processes;
- Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
- Resource planning and co-ordination of multi disciplinary teams, including sub consultants;
- Staff and people management including training and development and staff performance reviews;
- Working collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives and deliverables;
- Managing, building and developing customer relationships.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent or evidence of experience in the highways sector (6 years minimum)
- Incorporated Engineer or highly experienced engineer working towards IEng / CEng;
- Design and construction experience in the highways sector
- A commercial awareness in the delivery of projects
- Awareness / experience of Local Highway Authority standards
- Evidence of developing assistant engineers, graduates and technicians
- Working knowledge of programming tools such as ASTA
- Evidence of managing Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software including for drainage, alignment and traffic signs desirable.
- Computer literate particularly with packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word
- UK/EEC driving licence
