We're seeking a Cloud Services & Security Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing, and protecting modern cloud infrastructure across Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure environments. The Role As a Cloud Services & Security Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of secure cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance, resilience, and operational excellence across multi-cloud platforms. You will work closely with DevOps, IT, and project teams to deliver secure, automated, and scalable cloud solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements., Cloud Adoption & Optimisation Support onboarding and offboarding processes across cloud platforms Enhance user experience through streamlined workflows and reduced provisioning timelines Cloud Infrastructure & Security Design, implement, and maintain secure environments including firewalls, network segmentation, IAM systems, and encryption controls Manage virtual asset inventories and continuous performance monitoring Establish and maintain BCP/DR strategies and data backup procedures Multi-Cloud Security Implement and manage native security services across AWS (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, SCPs, Control Tower) and/or Azure (e.g., Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Azure Monitor) Security Automation & IaC Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation Ensure deployments are compliant, repeatable, and auditable Pipeline & DevSecOps Integration Embed automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, IaC scanning) Enforce security gates prior to production deployment Compliance, Monitoring & Response Ensure cloud environments adhere to internal security policies and regulatory frameworks Configure logging and monitoring solutions to detect incidents and trigger automated responses Develop runbooks, SOPs, incident response playbooks, and escalation procedures Collaboration & Project Delivery Partner with DevOps, IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive secure cloud initiatives Contribute to IT projects and adhere to change management processes
Requirements
3+ years' experience in Cloud Security, DevOps, or SRE roles with a strong security focus Hands-on expertise with Terraform or CloudFormation Practical experience securing AWS and/or Azure environments Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines) Strong documentation and vendor management capabilities Analytical problem-solver with excellent communication skills Desirable: Experience within regulated industries Relevant certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) Exposure to AI-enhanced cloud security solutions, Exposure to multi-cloud architecture Collaborative and supportive technical culture Opportunities for certification and professional growth
