Job description
- Design and architect end-to-end Databricks-based data solutions tailored for banking, investment, or capital markets clients.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead the implementation of scalable data pipelines, ensuring security, performance, and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices to internal teams and clients.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in data engineering, Databricks, and cloud technologies.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing cloud native applications, specifically within the banking, investment, or capital markets sectors. You will play a key role in designing scalable and secure data platforms leveraging Databricks and cloud technologies to drive business value for our clients.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Proven experience designing and delivering AWS cloud architecture.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with hands-on expertise in Databricks platform.
- Proven background in cloud migration and cloud-native solutions.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, particularly across security and networking.
- Experience working in DevOps environments (CI/CD, automation, IaaC), driving automation and infrastructure-as-code approaches across platforms.
- Extensive background working in the banking, investment, or capital markets domain.
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and Real Time data processing.
- Pro-actively define, optimize, automate, publish and communicate deployment patterns for migration.
- Support engineering teams in optimizing the migration path.
- Documentation of deployed systems, scripts and other working practices to enable, re-use and support users across the world
- Working closely with stakeholders to translate mission-critical requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have Skills and Qualifications
- Databricks Certified Associate Developer or Professional certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or relevant AWS data certifications.
- Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, and advanced Databricks features.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services data management.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and their data services.
