Job description

Are you the expert who can turn complex Linux and database environments into optimized, high-performance machines?

This mission goes beyond operations, it's about rethinking and optimizing existing infrastructures in a context where performance must increase while costs decrease.

You'll act as a technical strategist + hands-on expert, bringing clarity, structure, and measurable improvements to complex environments.

You will take ownership of a global optimization and transformation initiative:

  • Analyze and map Linux environments and associated databases
  • Identify performance, cost, and operational inefficiencies
  • Define a clear, actionable roadmap (planning + workload estimation)
  • Optimize architecture, administration, and usage of resources
  • Provide deep insights into:
  • Server landscape
  • CPU / memory / storage usage
  • Application consumption
  • Security layers
  • Prioritize improvements across:
  • Performance
  • Security
  • Resilience
  • Cost efficiency

Role

Design and optimize Linux server & database architectures

Propose and implement automation, monitoring & optimization tools

Support teams in:

  • Real-time monitoring
  • Patching strategies
  • Incident resolution

Build a structured transformation roadmap

Deliver high-quality technical documentation:

  • Maintenance procedures
  • Backup & recovery
  • Failover strategies
  • Security practices

Ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams

Requirements

  • Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian)

Databases

  • PostgreSQL, MySQL / MariaDB

  • Oracle (nice to have)

  • Microsoft SQL Server (is a plus)

  • ️ Automation & Scripting

  • Bash, Python

  • Ansible (or similar tools)

Monitoring & Observability

  • Prometheus, Grafana
  • ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Zabbix / Nagios

Security & System Tools

  • IAM / access control best practices
  • Patch management & vulnerability remediation

Infrastructure (nice to have)

  • VMware / virtualization
  • Kubernetes / Docker
  • Cloud exposure (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Profile

  • Strong experience in Linux system engineering (enterprise environments)
  • Solid background in database administration & optimization
  • Proven ability to analyze, simplify, and optimize complex systems
  • Experience with monitoring, automation, and performance tuning
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
  • Comfortable working autonomously and driving initiatives end-to-end
