Job description
You will contribute to the development and scaling of Wise.Brain, Wise Energy's intelligent energy management platform, helping companies optimize their energy consumption, reduce costs, and accelerate decarbonization.
This position focuses on building and maintaining full stack features across the platform, including user-facing applications and backend services, while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and energy experts to translate real-world energy challenges into functional and impactful software solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Work on new features for Wise.Brain, including Wise.Time Machine, the energy strategy simulation tool
- Work across the full stack (frontend Nuxt 4 and backend Python 3) to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decisions
- Build and improve APIs and backend services supporting energy data workflows
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval
- Ensure code quality, testing, security, and performance optimization
- Participate in continuous delivery cycles (test, iterate, deploy)
- Improve internal tools and development processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, energy experts, clients)
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus)
- 0-1+ year of experience as a Full Stack Developer, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Strong interest in building end-to-end web applications
Technical skills:
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Nuxt 4 or similar Vue-based frameworks)
- Experience with Python 3 for backend development
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of real-time or event-driven data processing
Nice to have:
- Interest or experience in energy management, smart grids, or decarbonization technologies
- Experience in SaaS environments and scalable product development
