Job description
The freelancer will be responsible for the operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of PostgreSQL databases running in Kubernetes environments.
Tasks
- Deploy, operate, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters (including upgrades and patching)
- Implement automation using Kubernetes operators, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines
- Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning (including query optimization)
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure security, access control, and compliance standards
Requirements
- Strong PostgreSQL expertise (replication, high availability, performance tuning)
- Solid Kubernetes experience (stateful workloads, storage, networking, operators)
- Cloud and DevOps knowledge (eg, Terraform, CI/CD, public cloud platforms)
- Scripting and automation skills (eg, Bash, Python)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (eg, Prometheus, Grafana, logging stacks)
