Job description

To provide support for day-to-day client technical issues, as well as assisting the Senior IT Engineers with the delivery of projects. This role focuses on resolving issues, ensuring smooth system integrations, and driving continuous improvement in processes to meet client needs and optimise performance.

The team support small to medium size businesses in Gloucestershire and surrounding areas.

Engineer Skillset:

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Telephone support - be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, providing troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network problems, and escalating complex issues to higher levels of support when necessary
  • Onsite support - Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems and escalating complex issues to higher levels of support when necessary
  • Installation & Configuration - Set up new user accounts, install software, configure new equipment, and perform upgrades on existing systems.
  • Assisting Clients with a variety of technical issues escalating complex issues to higher levels of support when necessary
  • Assisting Senior IT Engineers (L2 / L3) with Clients to plan future upgrades and delivery project work
  • Updating tickets and logging time on NHD / Halo
  • Part of your role will require you to tackle proactive tasks such as Firmware Upgrades / Process Development / Project Delivery / Recurring infrastructure checks

Requirements

  • MSP experience or a customer-centric environment providing support.
  • Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  • Sound understanding of VPN's set up and trouble shooting
  • Exchange Admin Center
  • SharePoint Admin Center
  • Security Manager admin Center
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Azure Active Directory and Endpoint experience
  • Sound understanding of IPv4 networking.
  • The ability to communicate with clients via telephone, video, face to face and email
  • Windows 11 OS Install and Support
  • Microsoft 365 migration and Implementation experience
  • Helpdesk Support experience (we are a VAR for SMB's)
  • 5+ years of technical helpdesk environment

Desirable:

  • Windows Server OS Install and support
  • Active Directory Systems Admin
  • Remote monitoring and management
  • AWS experience
  • Unifi WIFI hardware
  • Managed Switches
  • Knowledge of GDPR and ISO 27001
  • SC-200 Exam
  • MD-102

Wages based on Experience and Qualification if you feel you have what it takes get in touch.

37.5 Hours a week - 9:30am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour for lunch)

Due to the needs of the business this is an Office based role

Please note that due to the nature of the position and the requirement to travel to clients, a full UK driver's license is required., * Are you able to work in the office full time?
