SME - Cargo Systems

The SME - Engineering Systems will be Accountable for assisting the Applications Service in ensuring the efficient administration of Cargo systems support. This also includes being accountable for the 24x7x365 operations of cargo systems (provided by 3rd parties ensuring optimal performance and collaboration within the team)., * Be absolutely aligned to Engineering System Manager and Applications Support Managers

• Accountable for the Engineering Systems operations 24x7x365
• Collaborate with Cargo business & technology team. Participate in product planning & system enhancement sessions
• Oversee the business system integration of Cargo application with other enterprise platforms & applications
• Participate in strategic discussions around implementation or migration of new Cargo systems
• Provide guidance and support to teams on complex issues.
• Provides guidance on system releases and upgrades
• Ensure best practice and identify areas of improvements followed by plan of action
• Flexible working required to cover 24x7 operations
• Provide on-call support (on a rota basis) for production support

Essential skills/knowledge/experience: (Up to 10, Avoid repetition)

• Experience: 10+ years
• Deep expertise in cargo managing system.
• Strong hands-on experience with Airbus & Boeing System Administration.
• Proven airline experience and understanding on engineering systems applications
• Skilled in ITIL functions and can take up the BaU Support responsibilities including on-call
• Thorough understanding of SLAs/KPIs & Technology processes
• Proficient in Incident Management, Release Management, Request management, Change Management & Problem Management
• Proactive and responsible in terms of taking the ownership of key items within the Team
• Experience in a role where good attention to detail has been demonstrated
• Excellent presentation skills, ability to present complex information confidently to a variety of different audiences
• Can develop and build relationships with team members from all areas of the business and Technology
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment which needs strong organizational skills
