Job description
You could be progressing your career in a hands-on Senior Python Developer role at a tech driven, global Asset Manager with multiple billions of dollars under management, on a 12 month Fixed term Contract.
As a Senior Python Developer you'll join a small team responsible for the data platform used by Quants and Analysts, it's a modern, self-service development and analytics environment that brings together compute, data access, tooling and deployment pathways into a coherent platform.
You'll be at the intersection of platform engineering, data engineering and developer experience, with a strong emphasis on enabling others. You will work directly with stakeholders and users to identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues and deliver platform capabilities that improve the quality, speed and reliability of analytical functions.
You'll seek continuous improvement and pick new things up on the job as the tech stack evolves.
Requirements
Are you a data savvy Senior Python Developer with strong SQL skills and finance experience?, * You're a skilled Python Developer with strong experience of delivering data centric production systems
- You have experience within an Investment Management or financial services environment
- You have advanced skills with Python, SQL, Terraform and AWS (C# .Net would also be beneficial but not essential)
- You have experience of working with data pipelines and orchestration (Dagster preferred)
- You have experience of working with stakeholders and users to understand problems and build effective solutions
- You're comfortable with using AI tools (e.g. Claude, Codex) and integrating them in user workflows
- You're familiar with ML workflows, Snowflake and PaaS
- You have achieved a 2.1 or above from a top tier university in a STEM discipline
