What you'll bring, Our vision is to enable Sky's growth ambitions though Data and AI: deepening customer relationships, optimising commercial performance, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Our Lead Product Owners help to provide the North Star of what we're building and why, and they support our Engineering teams to determine how we get there.
Our Residential Products Domain is part of the Customer Directorate within Sky Data. It's where we build and maintain data products and data assets for Sky's Connectivity business - including Sky Broadband and Sky Mobile - as well as Sky TV and Sky Protect. We work within the Value Streams, as part of cross-functional teams driving exciting roadmaps; we also support broader work where we help to transform how things get done. That means we're at the heart of the action, supporting and working on the products that keep our customers connected and protected, and which directly drive their Sky experience. Whether we're helping to create magic on screen via the products people watch or using data and AI to improve how our business is set up behind the scenes, one thing's for sure - this is a winning team that collaborates across Sky to make a genuine difference.
Requirements
-
Data Products: You must have comprehensive experience of working in product management, with experience working specifically on data products rather than more generalised offerings. Your expertise positions you well as a coach, able to work with others to improve our wider ways of working in that space.
-
Product: You will have experience in establishing Product and Agile ways of working, and leading and facilitating Agile ceremonies and also have experience in building data as a product. You'll be used to owning and managing multiple products concurrently across a range of stakeholders. You convincingly present your product vision to a broad range of senior stakeholders across Sky on a regular basis.
-
Technical Knowledge & Specialism: You must have a high degree of technical understanding. You'll be comfortable partnering with and constructively challenging Engineers, Scientists, and Architects to define the art of the possible; specifically, you must have very strong SME knowledge in Residential Products as well as excellent knowledge of Sky's processes and data products. You will be expected to immediately hit the ground running on key products and the processes behind them.
-
Ways of working: You will proactively define and evolve your team's way of working and will understand how Jira supports your team to deliver.
-
Stakeholders and Gravitas: You will be expert at working with stakeholders. You will already have fantastic relationships with key contacts across Sky, where your ability to get the job done will depend on working together from the outset; you will also have great communication and inter-personal skills, and demonstrable experience, up to Director level and beyond, of managing stakeholders, understanding and representing their needs, and providing senior updates
-
People: You will have a track record of doing your best to help others around you to be successful; you may already be a manager, but in any event you will be able to demonstrate involvement in initiatives that benefit others - it's something that comes naturally to you and which you will bring to the role.
