Job description
We need 'Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect' to support our Oracle Fusion related applications and delivery for one of the UK's large airline customer. Functional Responsibilities: *Collaborate with business stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Benefits teams) to understand and translate requirements into scalable Oracle Fusion HCM solutions. *Provide solution design oversight across key modules: oCore HR oPayroll (UK) oAbsence Management oBenefits *Ensure alignment of technical architecture with functional processes such as: oHire-to-retire lifecycle oPayroll processing, statutory compliance, and reporting oLeave, accruals, and absence policies oEmployee benefits enrolment and eligibility *Lead functional and technical design workshops, ensuring best practices and standardization. *Review and validate functional design documents (FDDs) and solution designs. *Support UAT and business validation, ensuring solutions meet business needs. *Act as the key liaison between functional consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders. *Advise on process optimization and adoption of Oracle standard functionalities. Technical Responsibilites: *Define and own end-to-end technical architecture for Oracle Fusion HCM applications. *Design and oversee integrations across systems, including: oPayroll providers, banking systems, and finance/GL oThird-party benefits and absence systems oRostering/workforce systems (relevant for airline operations) *Lead development and governance of: oFast Formulas (Payroll, Absence, Benefits) oHCM Extracts and data interfaces oBI Publisher and OTBI reports *Architect and guide integrations using: oREST/SOAP APIs oOracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other middleware *Define and manage: oData migration strategy (HDL, HSDL) oData validation and reconciliation frameworks *Ensure security architecture including roles, data access, and compliance. *Handle performance tuning, scalability, and system reliability. *Lead troubleshooting of complex issues across payroll calculations, absence accruals, and integrations. *Manage Oracle quarterly releases: oImpact assessment oRegression planning oFeature adoption *Establish development standards, coding best practices, and governance. *Support DevOps, release management, and environment strategy.
Requirements
*15+ years overall IT experience *8-10+ years in Oracle HCM (Fusion) *3+ Oracle Fusion HCM end-to-end implementations in a technical leadership/architect role *Experience supporting large, complex enterprise environments (aviation, transport, or similar highly distributed workforce preferred) Must-Have Skills *Strong expertise in: oOracle Fusion HCM architecture oPayroll, Absence, Benefits, and Core HR modules oFast Formula development (Payroll & Absence critical) *Deep experience with: oIntegrations (REST/SOAP APIs, OIC) oHCM Extracts, BI Publisher, OTBI oHDL / HSDL data migration *Strong understanding of: oPayroll processing lifecycle oAbsence accruals and leave policies oBenefits configuration and eligibility Preferred Skills *Experience with UK Payroll and statutory compliance *Exposure to airline or shift-based workforce environments *Knowledge of: oWorkforce scheduling / rostering integrations oFinance and GL integrations *Oracle Fusion HCM certifications Deliverables: *Technical design documents *Process flows *Functional architecture Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: *10-12 years of experience with Oracle Fusion *Expertise in Oracle Fusion Finance module implementations *Design and Blueprint experience *COA design *Taxation and IFRS regulations *HDL and Spreadsheet Loader (HSDL) *Basic SQL knowledge Preferred Qualifications: *Oracle Fusion Finance certification *Experience with multi-country or global finance implementations & Architecture *Knowledge of local statutory taxation rules (country-specific) *Experience in AMS / production support environments *Exposure to Payroll and HRMS integrations
