Job description

If so, this role gives you the opportunity to apply hands-on stewardship skills, helping teams across Aviva manage and improve the data they rely on every day.

A bit about the job:

We're looking for a number of Data Management Associates to support the adoption of enterprise data capabilities across Aviva's Markets and Functions.

You'll join a supportive data community, working in collaboration with the Group Chief Data Office, Data Architecture and Data Engineering to make stewardship simple, consistent and effective.

In this role, you'll work directly with assigned data attributes, supporting metadata capture, data quality rule implementation, lineage documentation and access management processes.

You'll help colleagues understand and follow Group Data standards, contributing to better customer outcomes, stronger controls and improved data readiness for analytics and AI.

This is a great entry point into data management - ideal for someone who enjoys structure, detail and improving how data is understood and used.

You'll be responsible for capturing and maintaining metadata, classifications and definitions for assigned data attributes, as well as implementing and monitoring data quality rules and reviewing the results with subject matter experts.

The role includes maintaining accurate lineage documentation and ensuring updates are made promptly to reflect any changes. You'll also support the identification and logging of data risks and issues, help colleagues understand data processes, standards and good stewardship behaviours, and follow established processes and controls to evidence compliance with Group Data standards.
