Job description

We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging websites that deliver exceptional user experiences. This role requires a strong foundation in digital design, interaction design, and front-end development, with an emphasis on responsive and user-centric web solutions. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into visually appealing and functional digital platforms., * Develop innovative website layouts and prototypes using wireframing tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, and InVision.

  • Design visually compelling graphics and user interfaces employing Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and XD.
  • Implement responsive web designs using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SCSS/SASS, and Less to ensure optimal performance across all devices.
  • Utilise JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, and Redux to enhance website interactivity and functionality.
  • Integrate content management systems like WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, and utilise PHP and MySQL for backend development and website maintenance.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to refine website architecture and improve overall user experience (UX).
  • Analyse website data through Google Analytics and optimise SEO strategies to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with developers on front-end development tasks involving AJAX, Node.js, Python, VHDL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in web design standards, accessibility guidelines, and emerging technologies to ensure innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in digital design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, After Effects, XD, Figma, InVision.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles and information architecture.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (including AJAX), PHP, Python, SQL/MySQL.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of content management systems like WordPress and Drupal.
  • Familiarity with usability testing methods and user research techniques.
  • Ability to create wireframes and prototypes using Balsamiq, Axure, Visio or similar tools.
  • Skills in data analysis using Google Analytics or equivalent platforms for optimisation purposes.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices for web content optimisation.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms like Mailchimp for integrated campaigns.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
